La Tour de Moricq
Originally defending the mouth of the River Lay the Tour de Moricq can now only contemplate memories of an ocean now become marshland.
Built in 1435 by the Lord of Bazoges it lost its military role at the end of the 100 Years War. Abandoned it later served as a refuge for protestants during the religious wars, then as a prison and finally a grain store.
Discover its history thanks to guided visits organised by the Angles/La Jonchère Tourist Office.

15 minutes away from the most beautiful beaches of Vendée, between Luçon and Les Sables d'Olonne, the Parc Floral et Tropical welcomes you from Spring to Autumn to a true world tour of exotic botanical heritage over a 10 hectare area (a 1h30 visit).
Since 1977, the Park of the Court d'Aron is testimony to the Vendée micro-climate: tulips, orchids, carnivorous plants in greenhouses, multicoloured poppies from Iceland, Japanese irises, Egyptian papyrus... all steer you to the aquatic gardens (waterfall, fountains) where koï carp can be seen.
Further on, beyond the towering bamboos, the banana plantations and the Chinese palms, you will, during the month of July, discover the wonderful spectacle of the lake covered in unique flowering lotus blooms from Asia.

Musée de l'Automobile de Vendée
Come to the Musée de l'Automobile de Vendée to discover the collection which started in 1939. Thanks to one family's passion for mechanics and cars, more than 200 vehicles (cars, cycles, motorcycles and horse carts) from 1885 to prototypes of the future.
160 vehicles are displayed in a 3300 m² hall, fully decorated with an exceptional collection of posters and original advertising boards.
