L'Aiguillon sur Mer
Squeezed between the river Lay and one of its ancient meanders, the town of l'Aiguillon sur Mer stretches over 12 km and is on average 700 metres wide with an area of only 1084 hectares.
It is the most southerly town on the Vendée coast.
The small fishing port with its wooden stakes likening it to a Chinese harbour is the living proof of its heritage.
