Welcome to l'Aiguillon sur Mer

This picturesque fishing port has kept its unique identity thanks to its jetties and wooden stilts. La Pointe, with its seawall and beaches offering wild scenery for walkers, is also a well known bird sanctuary.
L'Aiguillon sur Mer offers you a great family atmosphere. Its three lakes allow people to bathe and sunbathe at their leisure and without risk for children, practise water sports or fishing.
The bustling town centre boasts many shops and a popular market.
Its restaurants offer a wide selection of seafood and fish dishes, including the Queen of l'Aiguillon, the "Moule de Bouchot" - our own mussels grown on stakes called 'Bouchots' - and the unbeatable local oyster "l'Huitre Vendée Atlantique", both at their best in summer.
Every year visitors can enjoy a wide programme of free events.
